iPhone vs. Pre vs. Treo

Et tu, Palm?

Reader Doug Abdelnour has posted an insightful 3-way usability comparison between Palm Pre, the iPhone and the old Palm Treo.

Money quote:

I am also praying that some genius from the late 90’s can help Apple develop a user friendly calender with an alarm.

I hate to break it to you Palm fans.  It’s officially true, the Palm Pre has thrown the usability baby out with the bathwater in its reinvention of the Palm platform.  Let’s hope this is just a growing pain for the new Palm.

I’ve had my Pre due to the fact shortly soon after launch and am glad to locate (via this forum) that I can now set a ring tone on incoming text messages and can research by way of e-mails and this kind of. Now is there any hope for an upcoming launch in which I can search my calendar? Would make my job very much much easier, discovering dates of last appointments. No other complaints, except that yesterday I was in and out of Sprint program (not unusual). I feel I was roaming, and looked at my calendar. Every little thing from the calendar was one particular hour earlier than what I had input. The clock was one hour early as properly. I was scared to death–then, once we got back into Sprint provider once more, every little thing was normalized. Has this happened to anyone else?? Searching forward to answers, but please don’t forget, I’m no techie and speak English as opposed to technospeak.
