Idea (partially) stolen: Tilt-to-Scroll

Tilt an iPhone to scroll

In April 2007 I threw out the idea of tilting a mouse to pan or scroll a document horizontally.

Looks like someone implemented this concept on the iPhone.  Click in to see a video.

Now we need a mouse manufacturer, or a university lab to design a mouse which does the same thing.

(By the way, when I say ideas documented here are “stolen” I’m kidding.  Different people walking down the same exploratory path will arrive at similar ideas.)

Apparently, ideas who’s time has come are nearly inevitable and it’s common for multiple people to arrive at them simultaneously. I highly recommend the New Yorker article: “In the Air” by Malclom Gladwell
